Moi Sei ("we", "us") provides a digital ledger for event gift-money (moi). This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

When a contribution is recorded at an event counter, event staff may enter:

• The contributing family's name and, where provided, spouse names and occupations.
• A phone number (optional).
• Native place and current place of residence.
• The contribution amount, notes, and the event it relates to.
• The staff member who recorded the entry, and the date and time.

Staff accounts also hold a name and a login credential, which are stored in protected form.

How we use it

• To keep an accurate ledger of contributions for each event and its host family.
• To send the contributor a WhatsApp confirmation (receipt) after a contribution is recorded, and to send their family QR code.
• To let families view their own give and receive history in the family portal.
• To support, maintain and secure the service.

We do not sell personal information and do not use it for advertising.

WhatsApp messages

Phone numbers are provided at the event counter. We send confirmations only to the number provided, and only about the contribution recorded. Messages are delivered through WhatsApp using a messaging provider (Twilio). You can ask us at any time to stop sending messages to your number (see Contact below).

Who can see the data

Event staff and authorised administrators can see ledger entries for the events they work on. Families can see only their own history in the family portal. Data is shared with service providers only as needed to run the service (cloud hosting and WhatsApp messaging), and where required by law.

Storage and security

Data is stored on secured cloud servers. Access is restricted by staff login, and credentials are stored in hashed form. No online system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Retention

We keep ledger records for as long as the host family needs them for their event records, and delete or anonymise data on request where we are able to.

Your choices

You may ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or to stop messages to your phone number. Contact us at sarangabani1984@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with its updated date.
